One of the most common questions we receive at The Vitamin Bridge is, “Where do you source your vitamins?” It’s a question we’re always eager to answer.
While we’ve been fortunate to receive generous donations of prenatal vitamins from CVS Health and Vitamin Angels, the majority of our inventory is purchased specifically for donation. For many years, Major Pharmaceuticals has been our primary purchasing partner. Entering 2025, we set a goal to secure a second dependable source for prenatal vitamin procurement—and we’re proud to share that we’ve achieved it. We are now also purchasing vitamins from H-E-B.
For those outside Texas, H-E-B is a long-standing supermarket chain founded in 1905 by Florence Butt in Kerrville, originally known as “Mrs. C.C. Butt’s Staple and Fancy Grocery.” Still family-led—with Charles Butt serving as chairman—H-E-B has grown from a single storefront into a major regional retailer with more than 435 locations across Texas and Mexico. And for those of us in the DFW area, their steady expansion into North Texas is particularly exciting.
In addition to becoming a trusted purchasing partner, H-E-B has also generously donated prenatal vitamins to The Vitamin Bridge. Their support will play a meaningful role in helping us surpass 200,000 women served next year. We are deeply grateful for this growing partnership!
